Root Samsung Galaxy S5 and Fix Low Resolution Issues!

So many people reportedly have issues with their Galaxy S5 screens, to be exact, they’re having issues with low resolution outputs. While it’s important to understand that this problem isn’t as serious as it’s sounds, it can be dreadful, especially when you’re using your gadget every day.

Also, if you’re an app designer like most of us on this website, then you want to pay close attention to the tutorial that I’m about to show, because you’ll need to preconfigure your apps as well, so that people who downloaded your apps won’t complain or blame your app for their low resolution output, because it’s usually caused because of installed apps.

So that being said, the cause of this error is that an app gets installed, and then without notice or without permission starts changing the resolution screen output setting within Galaxy S5. Keep in mind that you can only change these settings while your Galaxy S5 has root access. So if you haven’t already, your Galaxy S5 needs to be rooted and needs to have access to SuperUser or the SuperSU app.

Once you’ve got access, you’ll need to download specific screen resolution changer apps in order to put the settings back to the correct value.

Let me quickly show you step by step how to troubleshoot the low resolution error:

1 – Root Galaxy S5, so you get the SuperUser icon on your home tab. (This icon also confirms whether the root was successful or not. If you performed a root, and you didn’t get the icon, then it means that the root was not completed correctly,)

2 – If the root was successful, you can then tap on SuperUser, and go to the “Apps” section. Here you’re able to download many apps that the normal Google Play store doesn’t show you.

3 – Now look for one of the following apps (1 will do, no need to install all of them)

  • Resolution Changer Pro
  • NOMone Resolution Changer

Download and install any of the above 2 apps, so that you’re able to change the resolution back.

4 – Once installed, just go to the app and you’ll have the ‘shuffle’ option, so you can set the screen resolution back to the corrective value.

That’s it!

There’s a way to do this without getting root access on your Galaxy S5, but it’s very technical bases, and I would not recommend doing this until you’re a tech genius!

I’ll quickly explain how it works:

1 – Install ADB, which stands for Galaxy S5 Debug Bridge. (if you don’t know what this is, it’s basically the command control center aka command prompt of Galaxy S5)

2 – Enable USB Debugging.

3 – Use the following command in the ADB shell, to find your original DPI (density independence):

adb shell dumpsys display | grep mBaseDisplayInfo

4 – With the original DPI info found, now change it to your liking using the ADB shell command, to a number between 120 up to 640 – You’ll need to test what gives the best output for your Galaxy S5.

And that’s pretty much it. Keep in mind that you should do this at your own risk. It’s safer to go with the first option, as it’s much more simplified using the root method.

I hope this helped out, and I forgot to mention that as always, backup your Galaxy S5’s data before you start tweaking anything. So make sure to do that, even before you start rooting it, always back up your data. Sure, it takes a couple of minutes, but if anything goes wrong it will safe you hours of your time! I hope you get the low resolution problem sorted out! Good luck.

How To Root Restore Your Samsung Galaxy S3!

When will we have a lot of the Galaxy S3 ROOT unofficial and more features, but also has a cost, is the loss of the original warranty, more sad is to make the phone can not get the official update. We wrote a simple way to make us perfect to restore the original time and start all over.

Also in view of the reader before the first use of this site, “the first use on the Galaxy S3 Multi Windows” Teaching the Galaxy S3 international version of the brush into the ROM, Hong Kong version of the official ROM has been updated, but has been updated with Multi Windows function, you can also use this method to restore the official version.

Disclaimer: The following teaching only teach you how to restore the phone system is not to teach you to bypass the maintenance check, you need to take full responsibility for their mobile phone users, this site will not bear any legal responsibility on.

Step one:

We first download the software called “Triangle Away” on the phone

Step two:

We first downloaded Triangle Away installed on the Galaxy S3, then turn it on. Triangle Away will ask for your phone, for the GT-I9300 can press “Continue”. It will then tell it to download a plug-in, then you best to use Wi-Fi to download. after the download is complete, you will be formally entered the Triangle Away use interface. in this case we simply select “Reset flash counter”, then there will be warnings, just press ” Continue “to. then the phone will be re-opened.

Step three:

When will appear after the phone reopen on the map, it will tell you the phone now boot number is (author of three times) how much. Well, then we only need to click the “Volume +” to confirm that you want to clean boot times. after pressing the End, the phone will re-open again.

Step Four:
How do we know that their phones only really have no true “zero” We just need to tighten it up by the Galaxy S3? “Volume -” + “Home” + “Power button” to turn on, the screen will appear on the map , then click “volume +” will see the top right of the screen. CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD this line displays “NO” means that you are zeroing has been successful.

Regardless of your hands Galaxy S3 boot what ROM, you can use this method to restore the official ROM.

Step one:

this time we need to download a good “Odin3” and “an official ROM,” the official ROM solution after compression will see a KIES_HOME_I9300xxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5 file.

Step two:

Phone from the “Settings” => “Developer options” => the “USB debugging” This column is checked. Then you can turn off the phone.

Step three:

Press firmly on the Galaxy S3 “Volume -” + “Home” + “Power button” to turn on, see Warning words to click the “Volume +”, then the phone connected to the computer when we turn on the computer previously downloaded Odin3. as shown, if successful, the phone connected to the computer will appear in the figure blue lattice, such does not appear, please disconnect the USB cable and plug once or check whether they have installed the driver of it. then we press down “PDA “in that grid, we are prepared to take to open an official ROM. Finally, press the” start “, etc. 7 to 10 minutes, until the phone himself re-opened. At this time your phone will return to full official status, including Recovery and Bootloader, while will automatically unRoot.

Please do not worry this will increase the number of boots, because you boots into the official ROM, will not increase the number.

If you stop at the boot screen (5 minutes) appears after the reopening, we can turn off the phone, and then tighten press “Volume +” + “Home” + “Power button” to turn on, and then will see there is an option called ” Wipe data / factory reset “and then vote for it and then choose” yes – datale all user data “but after this, all the information on their phones are deleted, do not use unless necessary.

If and when we finished a cheat, then two, such as the need to upgrade or not to send plant (if the Galaxy S3 root experiences issues, then it will actually automatically download straight boot official ROM upgrade) can not do this step.

After the completion of a cheat, and second we go into “Settings” => “About phone” => “Status” => “Device Status” or “modified”, it must be changed back to “normal” before sending factory. So we need to enter “settings” => “backup & reset” => to conduct a “reset to factory settings.” such “device status” will return to “normal.” Remember, if you did this step will be cleaning up the phone all information, photos, APPS, contacts, etc. will be within disappear.

Tip: Remember that must be used to cheat a cheat then two oh ~
