So if you haven’t already, your Galaxy S5 needs to be rooted and needs to have access to SuperUser or the SuperSU app.
Once you’ve got access, you’ll need to download specific screen resolution changer apps in order to put the settings back to the correct value.
Let me quickly show you step by step how to troubleshoot the low resolution error:
1 – Root Galaxy S5, so you get the SuperUser icon on your home tab. (This icon also confirms whether the root was successful or not. If you performed a root, and you didn’t get the icon, then it means that the root was not completed correctly,)

There’s a way to do this without getting root access on your Galaxy S5, but it’s very technical bases, and I would not recommend doing this until you’re a tech genius!
I’ll quickly explain how it works:
1 – Install ADB, which stands for Galaxy S5 Debug Bridge. (if you don’t know what this is, it’s basically the command control center aka command prompt of Galaxy S5)
2 – Enable USB Debugging.
3 – Use the following command in the ADB shell, to find your original DPI (density independence):
adb shell dumpsys display | grep mBaseDisplayInfo
4 – With the original DPI info found, now change it to your liking using the ADB shell command, to a number between 120 up to 640 – You’ll need to test what gives the best output for your Galaxy S5.
And that’s pretty much it. Keep in mind that you should do this at your own risk. It’s safer to go with the first option, as it’s much more simplified using the root method.
